Job summary

Jumeirah Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi seeks a Duty Manager - Engineering to lead engineering and buggy operations, ensuring SOP adherence and proactive maintenance.

You will supervise shifts, manage preventive and reactive maintenance, verify fleet readiness, and coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping and Events to meet VIP and event needs. A Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, UAE driving license, and safety training are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Transport Operations.
• Valid UAE Driving License.
• Health & Safety Certification.
• First Aid/CPR Training.
• 3–5 years combined experience in engineering and/or transportation within luxury hospitality.
• 1–2 years in a supervisory or shift leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Shift Leadership: Supervise engineering and buggy teams during shifts, ensuring SOP adherence.
• Preventive & Reactive Maintenance: Monitor PM tasks and prioritize repairs.
• Fleet & Equipment Readiness: Verify buggies and related equipment readiness.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce HSE protocols and safe operation standards.
• Incident Management: Respond to breakdowns and outages, report details.
• VIP & Event Coordination: Support VIP guests and large events.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Liaise with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping and Events.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain CMMS/CAFM logs and audit readiness.
• Team Coaching: Lead shift briefings and on-the-job trainings.

Skills

Valid UAE Driving License

Health & Safety Certification

First Aid/CPR Training

3–5 years combined experience in eng/运
