Role Context
The Electrical Technician will inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test electrical systems and equipment throughout Atlantis The Royal. The role requires an experienced technician capable of completing assigned maintenance work independently while supporting the safe and reliable operation of critical resort infrastructure. The position combines preventive and Condition Based Maintenance with electrical fault diagnosis, system inspections, emergency response, and multidisciplinary facilities support.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
- Work with electrical distribution circuitry, wiring, circuit protection, and associated components.
- Maintain single-phase and three-phase electrical power systems.
- Service motors, starters, electrical connection devices, and electrical controls.
- Inspect and repair lighting fixtures, associated wiring, and lighting controls.
- Maintain electrical distribution transformers and related systems.
- Support the operation and maintenance of guestroom management systems.
- Inspect and maintain central battery systems and diesel generators.
- Work with building energy management systems as required.
- Maintain electrical distribution boards and distribution switchgear systems.
- Perform work involving low-voltage electrical systems.
- Monitor and inspect electrical distribution systems for operational issues.
- Inspect electrical life safety systems and emergency lighting.
- Support the maintenance of uninterrupted power systems and transfer switches.
- Inspect other emergency and safety-related electrical equipment.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Complete assigned technical tasks without direct supervision.
- Carry out Condition Based Maintenance as assigned.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to equipment manufacturer instructions, property guidelines, and technical manuals.
- Escalate significant faults and technical concerns to senior personnel.
- Report to the Supervisor and Manager and complete assigned maintenance activities.
- Provide shift coverage as assigned.
- Perform required technical duties during building emergencies.
- Keep work areas clean before, during, and after maintenance activities.
- Maintain issued tools and equipment and ensure calibration remains current where applicable.
- Follow health and safety requirements and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Teach and train other team members when required.
