Atlantis is hiring an Electrical Technician in Dubai, UAE to inspect, maintain and repair electrical systems and facilities equipment at Atlantis The Royal. About the Role

As an Electrical Technician, you will independently complete assigned electrical maintenance tasks while supporting the safe and reliable operation of facilities systems throughout the property. The position covers electrical distribution, equipment inspection, preventive maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs. You will report to the Supervisor and Manager while responding to routine assignments, operational requirements and building emergencies.

Electrical Systems and Distribution

• Inspect, troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution circuitry.


• Work with single‑phase and three‑phase power systems.


• Maintain electrical wiring and circuit protection equipment.


• Diagnose faults involving motors, starters, electrical connections and controls.


• Maintain electrical distribution boards and associated equipment.


• Support low‑voltage distribution and switchgear systems.


• Inspect and maintain electrical distribution transformers.


• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures.

Lighting and Building Systems

• Maintain and repair lighting fixtures, wiring and associated controls.


• Support guest room management systems.

• Work with diesel generators and associated electrical systems.


• Support building energy management systems within the assigned technical scope.


• Inspect emergency lighting and other electrical life safety equipment.

Preventive and Condition‑Based Maintenance

• Carry out Condition Based Maintenance tasks as assigned.


• Complete preventive maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and property guidelines.


• Monitor electrical equipment condition and identify developing faults.


• Escalate significant issues to senior personnel.


• Maintain issued tools and equipment in safe working condition.


• Ensure calibration remains current where applicable.


• Become familiar with the property layout to support effective maintenance response.


• Provide technical guidance and training to colleagues when required.

The position may support broader facilities maintenance involving mechanical, kitchen, painting, carpentry, audio and visual, fire life safety, recreational water, hotel room, public area and exterior resort systems within the technician 's assigned scope. All work must comply with applicable health and safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment. Work areas must remain clean and free from hazards before, during and after maintenance activities. The role also requires assigned shift coverage and the ability to perform necessary duties during building emergencies.

About You

Candidates should have at least six years of experience in a relevant facilities maintenance trade and should have attended trade school or higher education. You should have practical experience with electrical distribution circuitry, single‑phase and three‑phase systems, motors, starters, controls, transformers, distribution boards and low‑voltage switchgear. Working knowledge of lighting systems, central batteries, diesel generators, guest room management systems and building energy management is required. Experience inspecting electrical life safety systems, emergency lighting, uninterrupted power systems and transfer switches is also important. The role requires the ability to install, test, maintain and repair electrical and electronic wiring, equipment and fixtures while working independently to established technical and safety standards.
