Job summary

Zahr Freighters in Dubai seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to support daily financial transactions, maintain records, process invoices, reconciliations and assist with financial reporting in a fast-paced freight and logistics environment.

Key duties include accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, UAE VAT documentation for compliance, and collaboration with operations on billing and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related field.
• Experience in accounting, bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and tax requirements.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with Tally, QuickBooks or Zoho Books is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions and ledgers.
• Process invoices, payments, and journal entries; manage reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly statements and management reports.
• Assist with UAE VAT calculations, filing and documentation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with regulations.
