Job summary

Apparel Group in Dubai is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily store operations, develop the sales team and deliver a consistently strong customer experience.

This role focuses on achieving sales targets, inventory accuracy, visual merchandising, staff performance, and store security, with responsibilities spanning administration, performance management and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• 3 years of progressive experience in a customer-centric role.
• Strong management, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Proven success in improving customer engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed store sales and KPI targets.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep customer needs at the center of store activities and decision-making.
• Maintain high customer service standards across the store.
• Lead by example when engaging with customers and handling service requirements.
• Identify opportunities to achieve or exceed store sales targets.
• Ensure team members understand applicable KPIs and performance targets.
• Implement promotional offers and related stock requirements correctly.
• Execute store sales strategies effectively to support revenue and business goals.
• Work with the Store Manager to establish and achieve sales targets.
• Monitor sales performance and review key performance indicators.
• Oversee inventory control and merchandising activities to support product availability.
• Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate replenishment.
• Maintain accurate stock levels.
• Ensure the store layout and presentation remain aligned with brand standards.
• Support back-store operations and merchandise replenishment.
• Help maintain the appropriate stock package and stock levels to maximize sales potential.
• Maintain high visual merchandising and store presentation standards.
• Communicate changes in stock positioning or store layout clearly to the team and ensure employees follow established retail standards.
• Monitor and manage salesperson schedules, working hours, vacations and days off.
• Maintain staff leave records.
• Address employee complaints and concerns appropriately.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback and counsel team members when necessary.
• Encourage team participation in establishing store goals and developing plans.
• Ensure employees maintain appropriate personal presentation and follow the company dress code.
• Support the Store Manager in maintaining effective team performance.
• Carry out corrective action and progressive discipline when necessary.
