Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in business development, sponsorship sales, strategic partnerships or B2B sales.
• Background in B2B events, conferences, exhibitions or sponsorship is highly desirable.
• Experience selling event sponsorships, partnerships or membership solutions would be particularly relevant.
• Proven track record of generating, developing and closing new business.
• Confident engaging with C-suite executives and multinational clients.
• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Commercial, proactive and results-driven.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and digital sales tools.
• Comfortable travelling internationally for events and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business, sponsorship and partnership opportunities
• Build and maintain relationships with senior executives and key decision-makers
• Research new markets, sectors and strategic partnership opportunities
• Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, business cases and partnership pitches
• Manage opportunities from initial prospecting through to close and successful onboarding
• Work closely with internal marketing, research and operations teams
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records
• Represent the organisation at regional and international events
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify new opportunities
