Job summary

Kerzner International Management FZE is seeking a Junior Sous Chef for Bab Al Shams Desert Resort in Dubai. You will oversee kitchen standards, maintain food quality, and ensure safety and hygiene while controlling costs.

You will train and mentor junior chefs, collaborate with the executive team, and drive smooth daily kitchen operations in line with resort standards. Strong English and leadership are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain high standards of food quality.
• Ensure kitchen operations meet health and safety and hygiene.
• Set standards and recipes for the outlet.
• Train, mentor and motivate junior chefs.
• Support management to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Achieve targets such as gross profit and staff turnover.
• Assign tasks to junior chefs and monitor execution.
• Maintain good employee relations.
• Communicate changes in events and information to shifts.
• Ensure night shift coverage and proper handover.
• Monitor and enforce food safety systems.
