Job summary

Le Méridien in Dubai is seeking a prepared, motivated kitchen professional to support daily cooking and food preparation activities. You will handle portioning, chopping, washing, and organizing ingredients to ensure timely service and consistency with our standards.

Responsibilities include operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers; testing dishes for doneness; and maintaining clean, safe work areas while following hotel policies. Previous kitchen experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
• Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
• Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
• Monitor food quality while preparing food.
• Set-up and break down work station.
• Ensure uniform and professional appearance and behavior.
