Job summary

Le Méridien Dubai Marina is seeking a non-management kitchen team member to prepare ingredients, cook according to recipes, and maintain food safety and cleanliness on a full-time, on-site basis. You will weigh and portion ingredients, operate ovens and other equipment, monitor food quality, and support the team to meet presentation standards.

Education at least a high school diploma and at least 1 year of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking, portioning, chopping and storing food.
• Wash, peel and portion fruits and vegetables; weigh and measure ingredients.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers; monitor food quality.
• Set up and break down workstation; maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Follow safety policies; report issues and maintain professional appearance.
