Job summary

Marriott International’s Sheraton Dubai is seeking a non-management Full Time cook to prepare and present meals per recipes and standards. You will regulate temperatures of ovens and grills, portion and garnish, and maintain logs of food items while staying aligned with safety and quality guidelines.

You will assist in hiring and coaching staff, ensure professional appearance, and communicate menu specials during peak times.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items and regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement, and food garnish; maintain food logs.
• Inform Chef of excess items and menu specials; coordinate with F&B staff on specials and out-of-stock items.
• Maintain food quality and presentation per recipes and standards.
• Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching employees.
• Follow safety, security, and confidentiality policies; report issues to manager.
• Stand and move as required; handle objects up to 25 pounds; perform other duties as requested.
