Responsibilities

Role Context

The Civil Inspector will provide continuous site surveillance across infrastructure construction activities where quality, safety, and technical compliance must be maintained throughout execution. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect civil and structural construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Conduct or witness soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate gradation, concrete slump, air entrainment, compression, and coring tests.
• Perform line and grade surveys and verify alignment where required.
• Check bolt torque values and other structural installation requirements.
• Monitor underground piping installation to confirm proper bedding, grade, alignment, and tightness.
• Inspect piling activities to verify position, installation quality, and bearing requirements.
• Validate piping systems through P and ID checks, hydraulic testing, and other specified pressure tests.
• Inspect electrical installations for grounding, circuit integrity, and compliance with statutory and client requirements.
• Monitor painting and insulation works to verify required thickness, coverage, and continuity.
• Inspect construction labor and subcontracted work to ensure acceptable workmanship standards.
• Verify equipment alignment and balancing activities where included within the inspection scope.

Ideal Profile

• UAE construction supervision experience is strongly preferred.
