The role requires practical knowledge of construction processes and public works contracts, together with the ability to interpret structural drawings, plans, specifications, engineering calculations, graphs, and technical documentation. Candidates should understand construction scheduling and be capable of reviewing progress payment estimates, extra work bills, quantities, inspection records, and as-built information. Strong site awareness is essential, particularly the ability to recognize hazardous conditions and take appropriate action to reduce immediate risk.
