Job summary

Aloft Abu Dhabi is looking for a hands-on cook to prepare special meals, regulate ovens, thaw frozen items, portion, garnish, and maintain food logs. You will ensure quality, follow recipes and presentation standards, and assist during busy periods.

In addition, you will help manage and coach junior staff, follow safety policies, maintain professional appearance, protect assets, and communicate menu items and shortages to service staff.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training in kitchen or culinary arts.
• Minimum 3 years of related food preparation experience.
• Ability to follow recipes, standards, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, regulate oven temps, thaw items, and ensure proper portions and garnish.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and freshness of prepared items.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and coaching staff; support safety policies.
