Job summary

Marriott International's Aloft Hotels in Abu Dhabi are seeking a non-management kitchen professional for full-time duties in the F&B & Culinary team. You will prepare meals, monitor temperatures, and assist in staffing, training, and maintaining safety standards within a busy hotel kitchen.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of related experience, a technical or vocational degree, and a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
• Related Work Experience: At least 3 years of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
• License or Certification: None

Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals or substitute items according to recipes and standards.
• Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures to ensure quality.
• Pull food from freezer and thaw safely in refrigerator.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of prepared items.
• Communicate needs during busy periods and assist staff as needed.
• Inform Chef of excess food for daily specials and update menu items.
• Ensure visibility of menu specials and out-of-stock items to service staff.
• Help hire, train, schedule, evaluate, coach employees as applicable.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards or incidents promptly.
• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and handle equipment safely.
