Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Document Controller for Infrastructure & Bridges in Abu Dhabi to manage project documentation, registrations, and controlled distribution.

You will maintain document registers, track revisions, and coordinate with contractors, clients, and engineers to ensure timely submissions and audit-ready records. UAE project experience is preferred; on-site work at Abu Dhabi site.

Qualifications

• Diploma orBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Document Control, Engineering or related field.
• Experience as a Document Controller on major infrastructure/bridge/construction projects.
• Familiar with document control procedures and project documentation.
• Experience with Aconex, SharePoint, EDMS or similar systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain project documentation including drawings, specs, RFIs, and submittals.
• Maintain document registers and track all incoming/outgoing docs.
• Manage document revisions and ensure latest approved documents are available.
• Control distribution to project stakeholders.
• Track status, approvals, comments, and outstanding submissions.
• Coordinate with Contractor, Client, Engineers, and project team on submissions.
• Monitor overdue documents and follow up with relevant parties.
• Maintain records of drawings, submissions, approvals, transmittals, and correspondence.
• Ensure project documents are filed and accessible.
• Support accurate records for infrastructure and bridge construction.
• Manage closeout docs including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, testing records, handover.
• Assist with document audits and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Use document management systems such as Aconex, SharePoint, EDMS, or similar.
