Role Context

The BIM Modeler will support structural engineers, BIM coordinators, and multidisciplinary delivery teams by developing reliable digital representations of buildings and utility structures throughout design and construction stages. The role combines detailed 3D modelling with drawing production, coordination, quantity extraction, model auditing, and information management. Accurate digital modelling will help improve constructability, reduce coordination conflicts, strengthen drawing consistency, and provide dependable project information for downstream design, construction, and handover activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the BIM Coordinator and project delivery teams with day-to-day implementation of BIM processes and digital workflows.
• Develop and maintain structural BIM models for buildings, utility structures, and associated infrastructure assets.
• Produce accurate 3D models in accordance with approved modelling standards and project-specific LOD requirements.
• Generate plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, reinforcement drawings, and structural steel documentation directly from BIM models.
• Maintain consistency between model geometry, construction drawings, schedules, and related technical information.
• Coordinate structural models with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and Infrastructure disciplines.
• Identify model conflicts and support resolution before they affect design or construction activities.
• Perform clash detection and coordination reviews using BIM collaboration software.
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings and provide model-based technical input.
• Assist with constructability reviews using federated and discipline models.
• Extract quantities, schedules, and drawing packages from BIM models where required.
• Develop and maintain Revit families, structural libraries, and project-specific content.
• Support setup and administration of Revit worksets, linked models, shared coordinates, and project templates.
• Contribute to preparation and maintenance of federated BIM models.
• Follow project BIM Execution Plans, naming conventions, modelling standards, and digital delivery procedures.
• Maintain Project Information Models in accordance with agreed Common Data Environment protocols.
• Prepare BIM submissions for project reviews at design and construction stages.
• Support model quality assurance, validation, and formal model audits.
• Check models for completeness, accuracy, coordination, and compliance before issue.
• Coordinate with Structural Engineers and Lead Designers to incorporate approved technical changes.
• Manage model revisions and drawing updates in line with project milestones.
• Support quantity take-off and model-based information extraction.
• Assist with Dynamo-based automation and repetitive modelling workflows where appropriate.
• Maintain controlled digital information within Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, ProjectWise, or other approved collaboration platforms.
• Support timely delivery of coordinated models and documentation across multiple project priorities.

Ideal Profile

Ideal Profile Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Technology, BIM, or a related discipline from an accredited institution. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience using Revit Structure is required. Relevant project exposure should include building structures, utility buildings, or multidisciplinary infrastructure developments. Advanced proficiency in Revit Structure and AutoCAD is essential. Candidates should have practical experience creating structural Revit families, libraries, templates, and reusable project content. Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and structural steel modelling and detailing is required. Applicants should be comfortable setting up Revit projects, worksets, linked files, shared coordinates, and federated models. Proficiency in Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and Dynamo is required. Experience performing clash detection, model coordination, quality validation, and drawing extraction directly from BIM models is important. Applicants should understand BIM standards, ISO 19650 principles, LOD requirements, naming conventions, and Common Data Environment workflows. Experience working across Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP, and Infrastructure disciplines is expected. Knowledge of ProjectWise, Bluebeam, Synchro, Civil 3D, Autodesk Docs, or similar collaboration and review tools will be advantageous. Previous UAE experience supporting digital delivery on large building or utility infrastructure projects is preferred.
