Position Overview

BIM Modeler - Structural Digital Delivery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a Civil Engineering opportunity with Parsons Corporation focused on Revit-based structural modeling, coordinated BIM documentation, digital delivery, and multidisciplinary design integration for buildings and utility structures. Parsons is hiring an experienced BIM professional to develop accurate 3D models, produce coordinated construction drawings, manage model quality, support clash detection, and deliver compliant digital outputs in line with project BIM standards and ISO 19650 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the BIM Coordinator and project teams with daily BIM implementation and digital delivery activities.
• Develop and maintain detailed structural Revit models for buildings and utility structures.
• Model reinforced concrete and structural steel elements in accordance with project design requirements.
• Maintain model development levels in line with agreed LOD requirements.
• Produce plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and structural drawing packages directly from BIM models.
• Prepare reinforcement detailing and structural steel documentation where required.
• Create and maintain Revit families, project templates, structural libraries, and standardized model content.
• Set up Revit projects, worksets, links, shared coordinates, and federated model environments.
• Coordinate structural models with Architectural, Civil, MEP, and Infrastructure disciplines.
• Detect spatial conflicts and resolve coordination issues before they affect project deliverables.
• Perform clash detection using BIM coordination platforms and review findings with relevant disciplines.
• Participate in interdisciplinary BIM and design coordination meetings.
• Support constructability reviews through coordinated model interrogation.
• Extract schedules, quantities, and model-based information when required by the project team.
• Assist with quantity take-off from validated BIM models.
• Ensure models and drawings comply with project BIM Execution Plans.
• Apply project naming conventions, file structures, workflows, and digital delivery standards consistently.
• Maintain Project Information Models in accordance with agreed Common Data Environment procedures.
• Follow ISO 19650 principles for information management and digital collaboration.
• Prepare BIM submissions for internal and client review at different project stages.
• Support model audits, validation checks, quality assurance reviews, and issue resolution.
• Check model completeness, geometry, parameters, data consistency, and drawing coordination.
• Coordinate model revisions with Structural Engineers and Lead Designers.
• Track design changes and ensure affected model elements and drawings are updated consistently.
• Maintain accurate shared coordinates and discipline alignment across linked models.
• Support Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, ProjectWise, or similar collaboration environments.
• Use Navisworks for coordination and federated model review.
• Apply Dynamo where suitable to improve repetitive BIM tasks, data processing, or model consistency.
• Coordinate deliverables against project milestones and support timely issue of approved documentation.
• Maintain organized digital project records and ensure model outputs are traceable through agreed workflows.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor 's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering Technology, BIM, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience using Revit Structure.
• Strong experience with building structures, utility buildings, or comparable multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit Structure.
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Experience creating and maintaining structural Revit families and templates.
• Detailed understanding of reinforced concrete modeling and structural steel modeling.
• Practical experience with worksets, linked files, shared coordinates, and federated BIM models.
• Proficient in Navisworks.
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360.
• Working knowledge of Dynamo.
• Able to perform clash detection and model coordination reviews.
• Strong understanding of model validation and BIM quality assurance processes.
• Proven experience producing coordinated construction drawings from Revit models.
• Good knowledge of ISO 19650 principles.
• Familiar with BIM Execution Plans, LOD requirements, naming conventions, and digital delivery workflows.
• Comfortable working across Architectural, Structural, Civil, and MEP disciplines.
• Experience with ProjectWise, Bluebeam, Synchro, Civil 3D, Autodesk Docs, or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Knowledge of parametric modeling and BIM automation is preferred.
• Understanding of quantity take-off and model-based project delivery is beneficial.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving capability.
