Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Dubai is seeking a BIM CAD Technician for power and telecom infrastructure projects. Qualifications

Role Context

This role supports the detailed digital development of electrical and communications infrastructure across major civil projects. The BIM CAD Technician will transform engineering inputs into coordinated models and drawings while resolving interfaces between dry utilities and surrounding infrastructure. Strong control of model content, drawing quality, authority requirements, and multidisciplinary coordination will help reduce design conflicts and improve the accuracy of project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare BIM models and CAD drawings for MV and LV power distribution systems.
• Develop layouts for lighting, telecom, and security networks.
• Support drafting and modeling requirements associated with pump stations, bridges, tunnels, and related infrastructure.
• Coordinate daily with CAD Managers, BIM Managers, Design Leads, and engineers.
• Convert sketches, engineering concepts, and technical information into clear design drawings.
• Produce arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, and component details.
• Complete assigned drawing and modeling packages within established project schedules.
• Apply approved BIM, CAD, and drafting standards throughout project delivery.
• Review drawings for readability, presentation quality, completeness, and conformity with project requirements.
• Carry out drawing checks in line with QA-QC procedures.
• Create parametric and non-parametric BIM families and project content.
• Maintain consistency between models, drawings, references, and technical information.
• Coordinate dry utility systems with civil, structural, wet utility, and other engineering disciplines.
• Identify model conflicts and support technical resolution before drawing issue.
• Use Autodesk Civil 3D for infrastructure modeling and coordination.
• Develop and revise BIM content using Revit.
• Use Navisworks for model review and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Produce and update drawings using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Maintain controlled project information within ProjectWise.
• Support collaborative model and document workflows through Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Incorporate applicable electricity and infrastructure authority requirements into design documentation.
• Apply DEWA requirements to relevant Dubai power infrastructure packages.
• Consider SEWA, Etihad WE, and Dubai Municipality standards where required by project scope.
• Revise models and drawings following design reviews and coordination comments.
• Maintain organized digital files, drawing references, model versions, and project records.
• Support timely completion of design submissions and infrastructure deliverables.

Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a bachelor 's degree in Engineering and have proven experience preparing CAD and BIM deliverables for infrastructure and dry utility projects.
