Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of CAD drafting experience in UAE or MEA region within wet utilities projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM processes and modeling standards.
• Experience in preparing technical drawings for infrastructure and drainage systems.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with BIM Lead and design teams to ensure compliance with project standards.
• Develop engineering drawings from sketches and design inputs.
• Support BIM processes from project initiation through to completion.
• Review drawings for clarity and adherence to QA QC standards.
• Create parametric and non-parametric BIM families based on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with BIM Lead and design teams to ensure compliance with project standards and timely delivery
• Develop engineering drawings including layouts, arrangements, flow sheets, and detailed components from sketches and design inputs
• Support BIM processes from project initiation through to completion ensuring proper coordination
• Review drawings for clarity, presentation quality, and adherence to QA QC standards
• Create parametric and non-parametric BIM families based on project requirements
• Apply Level of Detail standards and ensure models meet project specifications
• Use Navisworks for clash detection and generate coordination reports
• Extract quantities and prepare schedules directly from BIM models
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to update drawings and resolve design issues
• Maintain organized documentation and drawing records throughout the project lifecycle

Ideal Profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of CAD drafting experience in UAE or MEA region within wet utilities projects
• Strong understanding of BIM processes and modeling standards
• Experience in preparing technical drawings for infrastructure and drainage systems
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines

Skills Set

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Microstation
• Knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
• Familiarity with BIM tools and workflows including LOD standards
• Experience with Common Data Environment platforms such as ProjectWise or ACC
• Strong technical drawing and documentation skills
