The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree with 4+ years of BIM/CAD experience in civil infrastructure and has exposure to Middle East projects.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with BIM Leads and engineers to implement project BIM requirements and schedules.
- Develop drawings and infrastructure documentation using CAD/BIM systems.
- Convert rough sketches and inputs into accurate technical drawings.
- Support BIM activities from project setup through final delivery.
- Prepare models and drawings for utilities, roads, drainage, MEP interfaces, and related civil infra.
- Review drawings for clarity and compliance with drafting standards.
- Apply QA-QC procedures before issuance of drawings and model data.
- Coordinate with engineers for multidisciplinary alignment and clash resolution.
- Extract quantities and model-based data for reporting.

The BIM CAD Technician will support engineering and design teams by transforming technical information, sketches, engineering inputs, and coordinated model data into accurate drawings and BIM deliverables. Working closely with BIM Leads, Design Leads, and Engineers, the position helps maintain reliable digital project information throughout the design lifecycle. The role also contributes to multidisciplinary coordination by identifying model clashes, applying Level of Development requirements, producing quantities, maintaining project standards, and ensuring that drawings remain clear, technically consistent, and suitable for downstream engineering and construction activities.
- Work closely with BIM Leads, Design Leads, and engineering teams to implement project BIM requirements, procedures, and delivery schedules.
- Develop engineering drawings, layouts, assemblies, flow sheets, isometrics, component details, and infrastructure documentation using approved CAD and BIM systems.
- Convert rough sketches, engineering information, design markups, and coordinated model inputs into accurate technical drawings.
- Support BIM activities from project setup through design development, coordination, documentation, and final delivery.
- Prepare models and drawings covering utilities, wet utilities, roads, structures, drainage systems, MEP interfaces, and related civil infrastructure.
- Review drawings for clarity, consistency, readability, presentation quality, and compliance with established drafting standards.
- Follow project QA-QC procedures before drawings and model information are issued.
- Create and maintain parametric and non-parametric BIM families required for project development.
- Apply appropriate LOD requirements according to project stage and information needs.
- Use Autodesk Navisworks to conduct clash detection and support coordination between utilities, roads, structures, drainage, MEP, and wet utility disciplines.
- Prepare clash reports and assist engineering teams in resolving multidisciplinary coordination issues.
- Extract quantities, schedules, and model-based information required for engineering and project reporting.
- Maintain CAD and BIM information within the assigned Common Data Environment.
- Coordinate drawing updates following technical reviews, design revisions, and engineering comments.
- Support timely completion of BIM and drafting deliverables while maintaining document accuracy and project standards.
Candidates should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and demonstrate practical BIM and CAD experience within civil infrastructure projects. Mid-level applicants should have at least 4 years of relevant experience, while senior candidates may bring up to 10 years of progressively responsible drafting and BIM coordination experience.
Previous experience in the Middle East or UAE is preferred, particularly across infrastructure disciplines such as:
- Utilities and wet utilities
- Roads and associated infrastructure
- Culverts, retaining walls, and minor structures
- Drainage systems
- MEP coordination within civil works
Strong working knowledge of BIM processes and LOD requirements is essential. Candidates should be comfortable coordinating with engineers and multiple design disciplines while managing drawing quality and technical accuracy. Good written and verbal English communication skills are also required for effective interaction within multidisciplinary project teams.
