Job summary

Leading Architectural Practice in Dubai seeks a Commercials Manager/Bid Manager/Proposals Manager to lead the bid lifecycle from expression of interest to submission. You will work with architectural design teams to craft compelling proposals that showcase both creative and commercial strength.

The role requires proven experience in bids/proposals within architecture or design, strong contract understanding, and excellent communication to coordinate design, legal, finance and technical inputs

Qualifications

• Experience in managing bids, proposals, or commercial operations within architectural, engineering, or multidisciplinary design environments.
• Strong understanding of contract structures, fee negotiations, and competitive bidding strategies.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with a talent for persuasive storytelling.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Bid Management: Lead the full-cycle management of PQQs, RFPs, and tender submissions for architectural projects.
• Commercial Strategy: Review tender documents, manage pricing strategies, and ensure commercial terms align with business goals and risk guidelines.
• Content Creation & Storytelling: Write, edit, and curate engaging narrative content, case studies, and project methodologies.
• Process & Governance: Establish and maintain bid processes, document libraries, and templates.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate inputs from design, legal, finance, and technical teams.

You will work closely with the architectural design teams to craft compelling, high-impact proposals that showcase the practice's creative and commercial strength.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Bid Management: Lead the full-cycle management of PQQs (Pre-Qualification Questionnaires), RFPs, and tender submissions for architectural projects.
• Commercial Strategy: Review tender documents, manage pricing strategies, and ensure all commercial terms align with the practice's business goals and risk guidelines.
• Content Creation & Storytelling: Collaborate with architects and design leads to write, edit, and curate engaging narrative content, case studies, and project methodologies.
• Process & Governance: Establish and maintain efficient bid processes, document libraries, and templates to streamline future submissions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate inputs from multiple departments-including design, legal, finance, and technical teams-to ensure cohesive and timely delivery.

• Experience: Proven experience managing bids, proposals, or commercial operations within an architectural, engineering, or multidisciplinary design environment.
• Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of contract structures, fee negotiations, and competitive bidding strategies.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an eagle-eye for detail and a talent for persuasive storytelling.
• Organizational Mastery: The ability to juggle multiple high-stakes deadlines under pressure while maintaining a calm, collaborative demeanour.
• Creative Skills: Strong Adobe InDesign to design and produce high-impact bid documentation.
