Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced Bar Supervisor to join Kapitol’s pre-opening team in Dubai. You will oversee daily bar operations, maintain brand standards, and lead a multicultural team of bartenders and barbacks to deliver exceptional beverages and service.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in a busy bar environment, strong cocktail knowledge, and proven leadership skills. A high-energy, guest-focused approach and excellent English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of bar experience, including supervisory roles.

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Bar Supervisor to join the pre-opening team at Kapitol.

The Bar Supervisor will support the Bar Manager in overseeing daily bar operations, leading the team and maintaining consistent beverage, service and hygiene standards. The successful candidate should have strong cocktail and beverage knowledge, confident leadership skills and experience in a busy lifestyle or entertainment-led venue.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations and ensure efficient service throughout each shift.
• Conduct pre-service briefings and allocate stations and responsibilities.
• Ensure all beverages are prepared according to approved recipes and brand standards.
• Lead, train and support Bartenders, Barbacks and other bar employees.
• Maintain complete bar mise en place and ensure stations are fully prepared before service.
• Monitor stock levels, product rotation, expiry dates, wastage and breakages.
• Assist with inventory counts, requisitions, ordering and stock control.
• Support the Bar Manager with beverage-cost and wastage-control initiatives.
• Drive revenue through beverage recommendations, upselling and promotions.
• Coordinate with the Restaurant, Kitchen and Entertainment teams during operations.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, equipment and hygiene standards.
• Support events, promotions and the introduction of new beverages.
• Take responsibility for bar operations in the absence of the Bar Manager.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant bar experience, including experience as a Bar Supervisor, Head Bartender or strong Senior Bartender.
• Previous experience within a high-volume restaurant, bar, nightlife, entertainment or lifestyle venue.
• Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits, wines and beers.
• Proven experience supervising and training a multicultural bar team.
• Good understanding of stock control, inventory, beverage costing and wastage management.
• Confident handling VIPs, busy service periods and guest complaints.
• Strong English communication and interpersonal skills.
