Job description

Barback is responsible for supporting the smooth running of the Bar service by assisting the senior team members and working under their guidance to deliver and maintain the highest level of guest experience while ensuring that the Club s standards and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver beverages to members and guests following the department Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in creating new cocktails and assist with developing the drink list for the Bar menu.
• Ensure the efficient and consistent flow of service and that standards are constantly met during service periods.
• Handle minor complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
• Ensure that all Bar equipment and any other objects needed for service are prepared and available.
• Be efficient in keeping beverage wastage to a minimum and ensure stock under your responsibility is secure.
• Monitor the daily checklist and ensure all opening and closing duties are completed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining restaurants.
• Internationally recognized professional certification.
• Excellent level of English, written and spoken.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with a high degree of flexibility.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Demonstrate integrity in all dealings and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ability to work long shifts and stand for extended periods of time.
