Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Barback to support the Daylife Division, assisting bartenders and keeping bar stations stocked and organized throughout service.

You should be physically fit, able to lift and move stock, and maintain hygiene standards, with basic English. Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays in a luxury hospitality environment. This role offers hands-on experience in a multinational luxury setting with opportunities to grow within the group.

Qualifications

• Bar-back or similar hospitality support experience preferred.
• Ability to work at pace during high-volume service.
• Physically fit with ability to lift and stock during shifts.
• Basic English communication and hygiene/safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Restock bar stations with spirits, mixers, garnishes, ice, and glassware.
• Prepare and maintain garnishes, juices, and bar mise en place ahead of and during service.
• Support bartenders during high-volume peak periods, ensuring stations never run short.
• Clear and reset bar stations, maintaining cleanliness and organization at all times.
• Manage ice supply, keg changes, and bottle replenishment throughout service.
• Assist with receiving and storing bar deliveries and stock rotation.
• Maintain hygiene and safety standards at all bar stations.
• Support bar setup and breakdown before and after service.

As a key member of our Front-of-House team, you will lead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences while inspiring and supporting your team to uphold the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Ideal Candidate

• Prior experience as a Bar Back, Bar Porter, or similar support role within hotels, restaurants, or hospitality venues preferred; entry-level candidates with strong work ethic considered.
• Ability to work at pace during high-volume, fast-paced service.
• Physically fit and comfortable with continuous lifting, stocking, and movement during shifts.
• Good understanding of hygiene and safety standards.
• Basic English communication skills.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
