Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group in Dubai is seeking an experienced Head Waitress to lead the service team across luxury venues. You will manage sections, brief the team on menus and promotions, and ensure warm, personalized guest service in fast-paced environments.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of relevant service experience, strong English communication, and a proven ability to upsell, supervise a multicultural team, and handle VIP guests and large groups with poise.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant service experience.
• Experience as Head Waitress or Senior Waitress.
• Experience in luxury lifestyle venues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the service team and allocate sections and responsibilities.
• Conduct briefings covering menus, promotions, VIPs and operational updates.
• Deliver warm, engaging and personalized guest service.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the menu, ingredients, allergens and beverages.
• Recommend and upsell signature dishes and premium beverages.
• Monitor service flow, table turnover and guest satisfaction.
• Recognize VIPs, regular guests and special occasions.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally.
• Train and support waiters, waitresses and runners.
• Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, reception and management teams.
• Ensure service stations remain prepared, clean and properly stocked.
• Support POS, billing and shift‑closing procedures.
• Maintain grooming, hygiene and brand‑service standards.
• Support brunches, events and high-volume evening operations.

Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant service experience.
• Previous experience as a Head Waitress, Senior Waitress or strong Waitress.
• Background in a luxury restaurant, beach club, lounge, nightclub or lifestyle venue.
• Strong food, beverage, upselling and guest‑engagement skills.
• Experience supervising and training a multicultural service team.
• Confident handling VIPs, large groups and guest complaints.
• Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant procedures.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
• Polished presentation and strong grooming standards.
