Job summary

Sunset Hospitality Group in Dubai is seeking passionate Sommeliers to join our Daylife Division Brands. As a Front-of-House leader, you will curate wine programs and deliver exceptional guest experiences across luxury venues.

You will train floor and bar teams, manage stock and supplier relations, and create bespoke pairings for high-value guests and private events. Fluency in English is important; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sommelier or senior wine service role.
• Certified sommelier preferred (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits and food pairing across cuisines.
• Excellent English; additional languages (French, Italian, or Arabic) advantageous.

Responsibilities

As a key member of our Front-of-House team, you will lead by example in delivering exceptional guest experiences while inspiring and supporting your team to uphold the highest standards of luxury hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curate and manage wine lists and beverage pairings in line with each venue's culinary concept.
• Deliver expert wine service and guest-facing recommendations, including pairing suggestions and tastings.
• Train and support floor and bar teams on wine knowledge, service standards, and upselling techniques.
• Manage wine stock, storage conditions, and inventory across assigned venue(s).
• Build relationships with distributors and suppliers, staying current on new labels and market trends.
• Support VIP guest engagement, including bespoke pairing experiences for high-value guests and private events.
• Assist in cost control, wastage management, and margin optimization on the beverage program.
• Ensure full compliance with licensing and alcohol service regulations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sommelier or senior wine service role within luxury hotels, fine dining, or high-end beach club/restaurant venues.
• Recognized sommelier certification (WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, and food pairing across diverse cuisine styles.
• Confident, guest-facing presence suited to a premium, image-conscious brand.
• Comfortable working across multiple venues or concepts as required.
• Good English communication skills; French, Italian, or Arabic an advantage.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
