GEA Germany GmbH is seeking a field service engineer specialized in automation to troubleshoot, install and service GEA systems across the Middle East. You will oversee commissioning activities, test I/O, modify PLC software, and optimize processes in liquid and powder processing environments.

The role requires 3–5 years in industrial automation with strong PLC/HMI/SCADA knowledge, ability to read electrical drawings and support customer missions across the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in automation/electrical/mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial automation, commissioning or field service.
• Strong knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, schematics and P&IDs.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot, install, maintain, provide remote support and repair for automation systems.
• Supervise installation and commissioning including I/O testing, PLC modifications and CIP testing.
• Perform commissioning, start-up, preventive maintenance and field service across the Middle East.
• Support upgrade, modernization projects and prepare technical proposals.
• Coordinate with panel/skid manufacturers and manage service documentation and reports.
• Advise customers on performance, maintenance strategies and lifecycle management.
• Identify spare parts and service opportunities; ensure HSE and quality compliance.
• Travel extensively within the Middle East to meet customer requirements.
