Role Context

The Attendant will support the daily operation of Aquaventure guest facilities, including cabanas, towel cabanas, beach and pool areas, resort buggies, and recreational spaces. The role combines guest service with operational preparation, cleanliness, basic food and beverage support, cashiering, safety checks, and coordination with other resort departments. The successful candidate will help ensure guest-facing areas remain clean, organized, properly stocked, and ready for use throughout operating hours. Because the position involves regular outdoor work, physical activity, and direct interaction with guests, reliability, stamina, safety awareness, and a consistently professional approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report for duty on time in the correct uniform and according to resort grooming standards.
  • Attend daily team briefings before beginning operational duties.
  • Follow Atlantis procedures and service standards for assigned recreational areas.
  • Prepare guest cabanas, towel cabanas, beach areas, pool decks, and related facilities before opening.
  • Conduct daily inspections and report maintenance issues affecting cabanas, beaches, buggies, or guest areas.
  • Follow up with Facilities, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, and other departments when corrective work is required.
  • Maintain five-star presentation standards across guest cabanas.
  • Ensure cabanas are prepared and ready before guest arrival.
  • Keep cabanas clean, organized, and replenished throughout the day.
  • Understand cabana reservations, payment procedures, and operating requirements.
  • Support day-to-day food and beverage service within guest cabanas.
  • Maintain current knowledge of menus available across waterpark food and beverage outlets.
  • Deliver requested items according to established resort service standards.
  • Operate towel cabanas and maintain adequate towel inventory.
  • Collect used towels and ensure they are handled according to operational procedures.
  • Use the towel cabana POS system correctly.
  • Complete cashiering duties according to hotel policy and procedure.
  • Support daily guest buggy operations.
  • Inspect buggies before and after use and report defects or safety concerns.
  • Follow all established buggy safety protocols.
  • Take responsibility for assigned buggy equipment during duty hours.
  • Assist guests using transportation or recreational facilities when required.
  • Support waterpark and resort emergency procedures in accordance with the Emergency Action Plan.
  • Report incidents, injuries, lost children, lost parents, or lost property immediately.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and elevate matters when necessary.
  • Inform management of relevant guest comments and operational incidents.
  • Assist colleagues when other operational areas require support.
  • Complete opening and closing checklists and required daily reports.
  • Maintain beach, pool, and waterpark deck areas to resort cleanliness standards.
  • Collect rubbish and keep assigned guest areas presentable throughout the day.
  • Wash and clean cabanas, umbrellas, sun loungers, mattresses, and related equipment.
  • Move loungers, umbrellas, cabanas, and other heavy items manually or with appropriate trolleys and cargo buggies.
  • Follow resort policies relating to fire safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety.
  • Maintain awareness of daily resort attractions, events, and promotions.
  • Participate in required operational and service training.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by supervisors when needed to support the operation.
Ideal Profile
  • High school level education.
  • Approximately 1 year of experience in hospitality, food and beverage, leisure, recreation, or a similar guest-facing environment is preferred.
  • Hospitality study certification may be considered as relevant preparation.
  • Above-average English communication ability in speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to interact professionally with guests from different nationalities and backgrounds.
  • Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable supporting food and beverage service.
  • Ability to follow detailed operational and safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office is advantageous.
  • Driving licence is advantageous.
