Job summary

The Petshop LLC in Dubai is seeking an Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounts payable cycle for our group entities in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. You will receive and match supplier invoices, maintain vendor records, prepare payment runs, and perform reconciliations with banks and intercompany accounts.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' accounts payable experience in a multi-entity, high-volume retail or FMCG environment.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or Dynamics NAV); experience with other ERP systems considered.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT on purchases and tax-invoice requirements; awareness of UAE corporate tax and e-invoicing is an advantage.
• Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations) and comfort with payment platforms and corporate card systems.
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, accruals and IFRS-based month-end processes.
• High attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage volume and tight deadlines.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable cycle for assigned entities.
• Receive and match supplier invoices and maintain vendor and expense records.
• Prepare payment runs and complete supplier, bank and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support VAT compliance and assist with external and internal audit requests.
• Contribute to the month-end close and work with Procurement, Operations and Finance to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
