Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT procedures and supporting documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and daily accounting transactions.
• Prepare and record sales invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Handle customer rental invoices, deposits, refunds, and outstanding balances.
• Record supplier invoices, expenses, and payments.
• Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor customer payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting.
• Verify rental agreements, invoices, extensions, and additional charges.
• Reconcile rental income, security deposits, refunds, and customer balances.
• Track traffic fines, Salik charges, insurance excess, and other vehicle-related expenses.
• Coordinate with operations to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain fleet-related expense records.

Salary: AED 3,000 - 4,000 per month

Day Off: 1 day per week

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and responsible Accountant with experience in the car rental industry to join our team in Dubai.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting procedures, rental billing, customer payments, supplier invoices, bank reconciliations, and financial documentation. The candidate will support daily accounting operations and help maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain accurate financial records and daily accounting transactions.
• Prepare and record sales invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and journal entries.
• Handle customer rental invoices, deposits, refunds, and outstanding balances.
• Record supplier invoices, expenses, and payments.
• Maintain accounts receivable and accounts payable records.
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations.
• Monitor customer payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Assist with monthly closing and financial reporting.

Car Rental Accounting

• Verify rental agreements, invoices, extensions, and additional charges.
• Reconcile rental income, security deposits, refunds, and customer balances.
• Track traffic fines, Salik charges, insurance excess, and other vehicle-related expenses.
• Coordinate with the operations and rental teams to resolve billing discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of fleet-related expenses, maintenance costs, and vehicle transactions.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly accounting reports.
• Maintain organized financial documents for audit purposes.
• Assist with VAT calculations, documentation, and return preparation.
• Support management with financial information and expense monitoring.
• Ensure accounting records are accurate and maintained according to company procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience is preferred.
• Previous experience in a UAE car rental company is highly preferred.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT procedures and supporting documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
• Experience with car rental management systems is an advantage.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks accurately.
