Assistant Professor in Electrical Engineering – Robotics and Embedded Systems

American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK), Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position beginning Spring 2025. Candidates for this position must hold a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering - Robotics and Embedded Systems, and preferably with additional expertise in Machine Learning, AI, and IoT.

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related major from an accredited, reputable, and internationally recognized institution of higher education. Areas of expertise include Robotics, Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, AI, and IoT.
• Strong record of active engagement in research and scholarship, including recent high-quality publications.
• University teaching experience.
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, including the use of high-impact educational practices.
• Commitment to excellence in research in the areas specified above.
• Ability and willingness to work collaboratively with faculty from a variety of disciplines.
• Familiarity with ABET accreditation requirements.
