To manage and coordinate monthly and ad-hoc rate requests—primarily airfreight and import-related—ensuring accurate quoting and timely communication.

This role supports operational teams with rate-related queries and maintains up-to-date pricing structures for key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming ad-hoc rate requests with speed and precision
• Update customers and Key Account Managers on monthly rate changes, surcharges, and ad-hoc pricing
• Prepare and maintain monthly rate quotes for existing clients
• Share relevant industry updates and notices that impact customer operations
• Ensure all customer contracts and rate agreements are current and correctly filed
• Collaborate internally to communicate customer portfolio details and pricing strategies

Requirements:

• Matric / Grade 12 (Essential)
• Diploma in Shipping, Freight Forwarding, Logistics, or Business Management (Preferred)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Freight Forwarding and Logistics
• Exposure to dry cargo rate pricing (Advantageous)

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of freight charges and shipping terminology
• Proficient in Google Workspace, Excel, and professional email communication
• Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Quick to learn internal systems and external platforms
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Committed to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity
• Proactive team player with the ability to identify and support team needs
• Understanding of shipping freight and other charges
