Are you a technically minded, open-minded professional with a passion for hands-on work and customer service? We're looking for Field Service Sales Technicians to join our growing team in Johannesburg and Pretoria.
In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for on-site service and sales of vacuum pumps and blowers. You combine technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to provide solutions, strengthen client relationships, and identify new sales opportunities. If you're results-driven and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional and courteous communication with customers (verbal & email).
- Visit existing and potential clients to build and grow business relationships.
- Proactively identify new sales leads through cold calling and outreach.
- Drive sales for new pumps, spare parts, and system upgrades.
- Grow the field service portfolio by securing service contracts and managing follow-ups.
- Perform installations, maintenance, and repairs of vacuum pumps and systems.
- Generate service and repair sales for both workshop and on-site work.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Submit weekly and monthly activity and sales reports.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders such as Technicians, Engineers, Maintenance Managers, and Contractors.
- Provide valuable market and customer feedback to management.
Requirements
- Fluency in Afrikaans preferred (many clients operate in Afrikaans).
- Strong technical and hands-on experience with mechanical systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional presence with the ability to develop lasting client relationships.
- Team player who can also work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Energetic, self-motivated, and able to perform under pressure.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid passport and willingness to travel within Africa as needed.
