We are looking for a Bookkeeper to provide daily accounting support and ensure financial accuracy across multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, fluent in English, and comfortable working directly with clients in a collaborative, professional environment.
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including payroll, bill payments, expense tracking, and reconciliations.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in QuickBooks Online.
- Support implementation and use of Divi for expense management and Bill.com for payables.
- Generate regular financial reports and assist with monthly closing activities.
- Partner with senior accountants to prepare and verify financial statements.
- Communicate with clients to resolve issues, clarify transactions, and maintain transparency.
- Adhere to confidentiality, data integrity, and ethical accounting practices.
- Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a client‑facing role.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Divi, and Gusto.
- Familiarity with standard GAAP and bookkeeping principles.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong English communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Organized, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
- Location: Remote (preferably South Africa)
- Schedule: Must have overlap with U.S. Eastern Time
- Salary Range: ~$2000/month, depending on experience
