Job summary

Requirements
  • Degree or Diploma in Oral Hygiene including Expanded Functions. Current annual registration as an Oral Hygienist with the HPCSA. Must have a valid driver's licence.
Duties
  • Assess the need and provide Community Based Oral Health Services. Formulation, Implementation and Execution of Oral Health Promotion & Specific Programs. Provide an integrated, comprehensive Inter-disciplinary Oral Health Service. Secure and allocate resources needed for rendering of Oral Health promotion and prevention. Facilitation of outreach programmes and provide reports on service delivery. Rendering of clinical services which may include the use of Portable Equipment or Mobile Dental Clinics. Ensure effective service delivery by direct supervision manuals and service protocols. Assist and participate in research Projects & Surveys. Ensure the implementation of the Oral Health Strategy.
