Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in South Africa seeks a skilled Technical Product Owner to work closely with stakeholders, manage product development and improve user experience. Ideal candidates will have a strong grasp on agile methodologies and product management, alongside tools like Jira and Miro. This role requires at least 3-4 years of relevant experience and a formal qualification in project management or business analysis.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in tech as a technical product owner, project manager, or business analyst.
- Excellent grasp of agile delivery processes.
- Proficient in ticket writing and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Elicit requirements from stakeholders and define context deliverables.
- Produce relevant artefacts like context diagrams and process flows.
- Work with developers to estimate project work time.

- The technical product owner is responsible for eliciting requirements from project stakeholders and clearly defining project context deliverables as well as writing comprehensive user stories and acceptance criteria.
- This will include, but not be limited to understanding and illustrating requirements by means of producing relevant artefacts, including context diagrams, process flows, data flows, C4 diagrams and other relevant artefacts.
- Document impact of requirements on the high level architecture of systems and Analyse software documentation (e.g. API documentation).
- You will work closely with our developers and Scrum Master to produce time estimates for project work.
- Plan & Manage iterations.
- Our technical product owners run professional meetings with product stakeholders, build trusting relationships with clients and manage stakeholder expectations.
- You will be required to work with customers in the ongoing enhancement and improvement of the product, provide input into product direction and strategy.
- Manage product support by guiding operational processes as required.
- At least 3-4 years of experience as a technical product owner/ project manager/ business analyst in the tech industry
- A qualification (Certificate, Diploma or Degree) in project management, business analysis or anything related
- Excellent grasp of ticket writing, agile delivery and business analyst processes
- Must have experience using Jira for agile delivery
- Technical acumen is a must for this role
- Experience withJira, Miro, Visio, Trello, QTest
