Production Manager (FMCG) - East London Job Summary Job Responsibilities : Lead, manage, and motivate the production team to achieve production targets and deadlines. Oversee daily production activities to ensure product quality and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources. Monitor and improve production efficiency, minimizing waste and maximizing output. Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards within the production facility. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet company and industry standards. Manage inventory control and raw material usage to reduce costs and improve profitability. Troubleshoot production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Ensure timely maintenance and servicing of production machinery and equipment. Prepare and maintain production reports, including performance metrics and KPIs. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in production processes and team performance. Job Requirements : Diploma / Degree in Production Management / Engineering / Food Science Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production management role, preferably in the FMCG or dairy industry. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, and regulatory compliance. Proven experience in leading and motivating a team, with a focus on achieving high-performance goals. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in production management software and MS Office applications.
