Job summary

ECN Cape Town seeks a Business Development Manager-Western Cape to lead the regional commercial plan and drive profitable sales growth. Plan, execute, and mentor a regional sales team to achieve business objectives and build strong client relationships.

The role requires forecasting, budgeting, pricing input for promotions, market research, and identifying new business opportunities. A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering and 10+ years in sales (5+ in leadership) are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven sales experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales force.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Engineering.
• Grade 12 certificate.

Responsibilities

• Implement and drive the regional commercial plan to achieve profitable sales growth.
• Forecast, budget, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Set regional targets and quotas; monitor call plans and reporting for management review.
• Coach sales representatives and expand the customer base; build strong client relationships.
• Recommend new product lines, pricing, and packaging based on market insights.
• Provide product training and support to Strategic Installers and direct accounts.
• Conduct regular monthly staff meetings and maintain regional customer visits.
• Assist with promotions, exhibitions, and social events; oversee vehicle/equipment security.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of sales staff.
