Job summary

ECN in Germiston is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the regional sales team and drive profitable growth by executing the commercial business plan. You will forecast and manage budgets, set regional targets, develop sales plans, grow the customer base, coach reps, and coordinate product launches, training, promotions and events across the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of proven sales experience.
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience managing a sales force.

Responsibilities

Plan, execute and lead a regional sales team to drive profitable sales growth.
Forecast, budget, control expenditures and analyze variances.
Set regional targets, develop plans and quotas aligned to national goals.
Grow the customer base by coaching reps and building key client relationships.
Recommend new product lines, packaging, services based on market feedback.
Provide product training and support to Strategic Installers (S.I.s) and accounts.
Plan and supervise promotions, exhibitions and social events.
Oversee vehicle, property and equipment security and maintenance.
Hire, onboard, train and appraise sales staff; ensure policy compliance.
