Job summary

Kerry Kopp Consulting is seeking a warehouse administrator in Pietermaritzburg to manage receiving, stock control and issue processes. The role requires being hands-on with WMS/SYSPRO and barcoding systems, along with strong Excel and ERP experience.

You will supervise a small team and coordinate with QC and procurement to keep stock accurate and on time. Applicants should hold GR12 with maths and a relevant diploma, plus at least two years in warehousing.

Qualifications

• GR12 matric with maths required.
• Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent would be an advantage.
• Forklift licence would be an advantage.
• Code 10 drivers licence would be an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehousing environment is required.
• Experience leading a team in warehousing is advantageous.
• Knowledge and operation of WMS/SYSPRO systems.
• Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Office, email, Syspro.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and barcoding essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure goods arriving from suppliers are thoroughly checked and verified.
• Ensure goods are GRN’d on time and correctly per company policy.
• Flag issues related to supplier delivery, stock variances, quality or quantity with QC, Procurement and Supply Chain Manager.
• Coordinate returns and replacements with QC and buyers.
• Ensure fasteners and materials are packed and issued on time to production and assembly departments.
• Review outstanding cost cards daily to ensure issuing is up to date.
• Flag backlogs or delays that could affect on-time issuing to production.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and proper stock receipting, putaway and issuing procedures.
• Ensure inventory is stored properly to avoid spoilage or damage (FIFO).
• Coordinate regular inventory counts per Stock Take Policy and Procedures.
• Review SLOB reports and clear non-moving stock per policy.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
• Train and develop team members.
• Regularly review and update inventory procedures.
