Job summary

Pronel Personnel is seeking a Warehouse Controller to take ownership of daily warehouse operations, ensure accurate stock control and keep materials flowing efficiently to production.

The ideal candidate will be organised, tech‑savvy and able to lead a team while maintaining 5S standards and a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric with Mathematics.
• Minimum 2 years’ warehousing experience.
• Experience leading a warehouse team.
• Knowledge of WMS / Syspro.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping.
• Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
• Forklift licence advantageous.
• Code 10 driver’s licence advantageous.
• Supply Chain / Logistics qualification advantageous.
• Knowledge of OHAS advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate daily warehouse activities.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to the warehouse team.
• Manage the receiving, putaway and issuing of hardware, fasteners, components and buy-outs.
• Check and verify incoming goods and GRN processing.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and records.
• Investigate and flag stock variances, delivery issues and discrepancies.
• Coordinate returns and replacements with relevant departments and suppliers.
• Ensure materials are packed and issued to production on time.
• Conduct regular stock counts and manage non-moving stock.
• Ensure correct stock rotation and storage using FIFO principles.
• Maintain 5S standards and a safe, organised warehouse.
• Train and develop team members.
• Continuously improve warehouse processes and procedures.
• Drive the move towards a more efficient, lean and paperless warehouse environment.
