Job summary

Network Contracting in Gauteng is seeking a capable Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate daily warehouse activities, supervise staff and ensure accurate stock control. You will oversee receiving, picking, packing and dispatching, while keeping documentation up to date and compliant with safety regulations.

The role requires hands-on leadership and a focus on efficiency and quality control. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in warehousing or stock control, a relevant SCM/Logistics qualification,

Qualifications

• Matric and a relevant SCM/Logistics qualification are advantageous.
• 3–5 years in a warehouse or stock control environment.
• 2+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of WMS and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Valid driver’s license will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, storing and dispatching of goods.
• Lead and allocate duties to warehouse staff to ensure productivity and efficiency.
• Monitor stock levels and conduct regular stock counts with accurate records.
• Oversee stock movements and ensure proper documentation for receipts and dispatches.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and identification of stock to minimise damages and losses.
• Coordinate deliveries, collections and distribution schedules.
• Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective measures.
• Ensure warehouse is clean, organized and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor warehouse performance against targets and prepare regular reports.
• Liaise with procurement, production, sales and logistics to ensure smooth workflow.
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, productivity and cost efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management or a related field will be advantageous.
• 3–5 years' experience in a warehouse or stock control environment.
• At least 2 years' experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
• Experience in inventory management, stock control and warehouse operations.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
• Computer literacy, particularly MS Excel and warehouse-related systems.
• Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.
