About the Role

Our client, a well-established wholesaler, is seeking a dedicated and organized Warehouse and Inventory Specialist to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng . This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and efficiency of warehouse operations and ensuring precise inventory control. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, order picking, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, inspect, and stock incoming inventory.
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and system updates.
• Identify and report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues with inventory.
• Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness, adhering to safety standards.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
• Assist in managing stock levels and identifying potential shortages or overstocks.
• Process returns and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
• Support other warehouse functions as needed, such as shipping and receiving.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment, with specific experience in inventory control.
• Proven ability to accurately manage inventory records using WMS or similar systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, and packing.
• Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
