Placements24 is seeking an experienced Volunteer Manager for a Durban-based NGO focused on youth empowerment. You will recruit, train, engage, and retain volunteers aligned with our mission, ensuring they are well-supported and effective.

On-site role in Durban; you will design programs, manage schedules, track hours and feedback, and collaborate with program staff to place volunteers where they contribute most.

Formación

• Minimum 3–5 years in volunteer management or equivalent in non-profit.
• Proven recruit/train/manage volunteers.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
• Strong organization and time-management; multitasking ability.
• Experience with volunteer management software and MS Office.
• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Non-profit Management, HR, or related field preferred.
• On-site work in Durban with potential provincial travel.

Responsabilidades

• Develop strategies for volunteer recruitment, screening, and onboarding.
• Design and deliver engaging volunteer training programs.
• Schedule and deploy volunteers across programs and events in Durban.
• Foster a positive, supportive environment and ongoing engagement.
• Maintain accurate volunteer records (hours, contributions, feedback).
• Develop strategies for volunteer recognition and retention.
• Serve as primary contact for volunteers and address inquiries promptly.
• Collaborate with program staff to match volunteers to roles.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies for volunteer management.
