About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled VoIP Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their voice communication infrastructure in Sandton . This role is critical for ensuring reliable, high-quality voice services for our internal teams and clients. You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of VoIP systems, including PBX, call managers, and related hardware/software. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in VoIP technologies and a commitment to providing seamless communication solutions within the vibrant business hub of Gauteng .

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain VoIP systems , including IP PBX, softphones, and Unified Communications platforms.
• Manage user accounts, extensions, call routing rules, and voicemail settings within the VoIP environment.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and perform proactive troubleshooting to ensure high availability.
• Respond to and resolve technical support requests related to VoIP services from end-users.
• Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to maintain system security and reliability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for VoIP system configurations, procedures, and user guides.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a VoIP Administrator or similar role in managing voice communication systems.
• Strong understanding of VoIP protocols such as SIP, RTP, and H.323.
• Experience with major VoIP platforms (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications, Asterisk, 3CX) is essential.
• Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS) as they relate to VoIP performance.
