Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced VoIP Systems Administrator to join our fully remote technical operations team. You will deploy, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot our VoIP infrastructure to ensure reliable communications for a global user base.

You will work in a distributed environment, monitor performance, resolve call quality and routing issues, implement security, and produce documentation and SOPs. Remote-friendly role with opportunities for certifications in voice technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a VoIP administrator or similar role managing unified communications.
• Strong knowledge of SIP, H.323, and RTP protocols.
• Experience with Cisco Call Manager, Asterisk, or 3CX.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS.
• Excellent problem-solving and remote diagnostics.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced VoIP Systems Administrator to join their fully remote technical operations team. You will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our VoIP systems, working in a collaborative, virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, manage, and maintain the company's VoIP infrastructure , including PBX systems, call managers, and gateways.
• Monitor VoIP system performance, identify potential issues, and implement proactive measures to ensure high availability and quality of service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex voice communication problems, including call quality issues, call routing errors, and user provisioning challenges.
• Implement security measures to protect the VoIP network from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Collaborate with IT and network teams to ensure seamless integration of VoIP services with other network components.
• Develop and update VoIP system documentation , user guides, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a VoIP Administrator or in a similar role managing unified communications platforms.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, and RTP.
• Experience with specific VoIP platforms (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Asterisk, 3CX) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and QoS.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues remotely.
