About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled VoIP Engineer to join their remote team, contributing to the development and maintenance of advanced voice communication solutions. This role involves the design, implementation, configuration, and support of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems, ensuring high-quality and reliable voice services for customers. You will work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic, collaborative environment, solving complex technical challenges. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage VoIP infrastructure, including PBX systems, softswitches, and gateways.
• Configure and maintain call processing, routing, and voicemail systems.
• Monitor VoIP network performance, troubleshoot quality issues (jitter, latency, packet loss), and implement solutions.
• Ensure the security and reliability of VoIP services, implementing best practices.
• Collaborate with network and systems teams to ensure seamless integration of voice services.
• Provide technical support and expertise for VoIP-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience focused on VoIP engineering and implementation.
• In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols such as SIP, H.323, RTP, and RTCP.
• Experience with major VoIP platforms and vendors.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, QoS, and VLANs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills specific to voice communication systems.
