Job summary

Cashbuild seeks a Trainee Manager for an assigned Store, with internal applications only. You will support the Store Manager in operational leadership, stock control, safety compliance and customer service to protect and grow market share.

You must have Grade 12, 2+ years retail management, a valid license, and solid accounting, HR, and administrative capabilities. Travel locally and manage day-to-day store performance under pressure.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with at least 2 years retail management experience
• Valid Driver's license
• Valid ID or valid work permit (local)
• Must have strong accounting skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Must be computer literate (Basic computer literacy)
• Must have strong leadership skills
• Must have strong administrative skills
• Must have own transport and cell phone
• Must have sound knowledge of Health and Safety (OHSA) and related laws
• Must have strong Human Resources skills
• Assist Store Manager on non-compliance actions
• Assist Store Manager in stock control and stock takes

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager to make immediate action on non-compliance identified
• Assist the Store Manager to manage Damage, Obsolete and Slow-moving stock
• Assist in Growth of market share and achieving sales budgets by category
• Implement Customer Service strategies and maintain audits above 95%
• Ensure safety, housekeeping and compliance with OHSA standards
• Manage cash, debtors, petty cash and daily banking in cooperation with Store Manager
• Recruit, induct and develop store staff; support succession planning
