Job summary

Salesworx Recruitment (Pty) Ltd seeks driven External Sales Representatives for a South African wholesale supplier with a strong footprint in hardware, building materials, agricultural, irrigation, plumbing and retail sectors. You will develop new business, manage existing accounts, and deliver exceptional customer service to hit sales targets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years external sales experience, a valid SA driver's license, own vehicle and CRM/mobile app familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years external sales experience.
• Hardware, plumbing, tools or building materials sector experience is advantageous.
• Valid South African driver's license.
• Own reliable vehicle required.
• Matric certificate.
• Computer literacy.
• Familiar with CRM systems and mobile sales apps.
• Stable employment history with strong references.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an allocated geographical territory.
• Develop strong relationships with independent hardware store owners and decision-makers.
• Increase sales and product penetration within existing accounts.
• Identify and open new customer accounts.
• Promote full product range and launches.
• Conduct regular customer visits and route planning.
• Present promotions, pricing initiatives and new products.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
• Ensure accurate reporting through CRM system.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and prospect list.
• Achieve sales growth and activity targets.
• Assist customers with product knowledge and merchandising.
• Resolve customer queries professionally.
