Job summary

Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced External Sales Consultant to drive sales in the ready-mix concrete and construction sector in Johannesburg. You will grow a client portfolio, respond to inquiries, prepare quotations and participate in tender pricing with the technical team.

You will travel across the assigned territory, maintain relationships, and provide market intelligence. The role requires Grade 12, 5 years' sales and client liaison experience, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric – Essential
• 5 years' experience in sales and client liaison, preferably at a senior level
• Strong external sales and business development experience
• Experience managing and growing a customer portfolio
• Strong quotation, tender and pricing experience
• Excellent negotiation and closing skills
• Strong customer relationship management skills
• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly concrete sales volume and value targets.
• Develop, maintain and grow a strong customer portfolio.
• Identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Promote products and provide accurate pricing to customers.
• Prepare accurate sales quotations.
• Price tenders in collaboration with the technical team where required.
• Follow up on quotations, tenders and potential business opportunities.
• Monitor competitor activity and provide relevant market intelligence.
• Liaise with plant managers, internal sales teams and technical departments.
• Address and resolve customer queries and problems promptly.
• Assist with sales forecasting, budgeting and sales action plans.
• Ensure correct pricing and zone allocations.
• Maintain accurate sales administration and records.
• Ensure a professional and seamless customer experience from initial enquiry through to order and dispatch.
